The Rogue Kind is the steamy romance of phoenix Kasia and her dragon shifter Brand. (Owen kind of had me right there as both those are click-bait for me.) But wait, there’s more. She builds an intricate world of shifters and political intrigue.
Everyone wants Kasia–not for her, but for her power. She is a kickass heroine who isn’t afraid to go up against shifters or vamps including one shotgun-wielding scene. But she’s also protecting her sisters from the dragon shifters because one killed their parents. She’s a princess with her own magic and a heroine you’ll root for.
Brand (oh, Brand) is a grumpy alpha lugging around his own five centuries of emotional baggage. He’s never, ever, evvvver going to fall in love. Especially not with the phoenix whose marriage to the Blood King might score him a place in a clan instead of being a forever rogue loner. We all see where this is going, right?
I loved these two. Owen hooks the reader and has us holding on with a competing desire to devour all the words and a need to savor the story. Highly recommend.
And she teases the upcoming sequel The Blood King which made me all grabby-grabby hands.
